Officials from Electronic Arts have announced that the company has acquired UK developer Studio 33 for an undisclosed sum. Known for racing games such as Formula One 2000 and the forthcoming Destruction Derby Arenas the developer’s 30 Liverpool-based employees will join the team at EA Northwest, in nearby Warrington. The oddly un-prolific Studio 33 was set-up in 1996 by a number of ex-Psygnosis employees, led by Steve White.
