Following detailed news of its collaboration with Steven Spielberg, Electronic Arts has released more details of three of its forthcoming properties, including Wii exclusive dance title Boogie, EA DICE's Mirror's Edge, and new NFL franchise NFL Tour. Though little has been revealed on Stockholm based DICE's (Battlefield) original IP title, EA describes Mirror's Edge as a "revolutionary first person action adventure, due for release on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2008. DICE general manager Patrick Soderlund, likened the FPS advances of the FPS game to those it made on Battlefield, saying, “We are a studio that believes in taking risks and taking games in new directions. We made the sandbox experience viable and enjoyable in Battlefield and now, we are looking to do something radical with the traditional established mechanics of first person movement.” Senior producer Owen O’Brien added, “We want to change the way that players are able to move in first person. No more restrictions, no more being blocked by simple barriers such as walls and fences. We want to enable the player to move like a real person, with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before in a first person game.” EA has also released more on its Wii exclusive original dance title Boogie, first announced in March of this year, which is set to be released on August 7th in North America, packed in with a karaoke microphone which will allow players to sing and dance their way through a number of hit pop songs, as well as "record their own voice and make music videos with the easy-to-use music video creator." A full song list included with the release has revealed included tracks from artists like The Jackson 5, Kool & The Gang, Dee-Lite, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The B-52s, Daft Punk, and Britney Spears. Finally, EA has announced a new NFL licensed franchise due for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in January of 2008 called NFL Tour, developed by Madden studio EA Tiburon. Noted as an arcade-style football title, EA says the game will "bring the spectacle of a traveling NFL road show alive, with intuitive controls, fast-paced gameplay, and visually stunning graphics," as players travel across the country to defeat NFL squads and attempt to win a contract. Said executive producer Dale Jackson, "We are extremely excited about our new arcade football game, NFL Tour, which will provide players with a brand new exciting football experience. NFL Tour is a fun, action-packed football game that will appeal not only to football enthusiasts, but also to casual gamers.”
