Kynogon has announced that Eden Games, one of Atari’s leading studios and the original developers of the V-Rally series, as well as the current developers of Test Drive Unlimited, has selected Kynapse 4.0 to develop its next generation game A.I. "We have been following Kynogon for more than 2 years now and it is clear to us that Kynogon has succeeded in researching and designing an exhaustive, robust and efficient integrated A.I. solution,” said David Nadal, Eden’s Chief Technical Officer. After providing RenderWare A.I. to the game development community, Kynogon is now offering Kynapse 4.0, an A.I. engine specifically designed for next generation platforms, as previously announced on Gamasutra. Previous or current Kynogon customers include EA Games, Vivendi Universal Games, Real Time Worlds, Amuze, and Midway. Kynapse 4.0 includes specific features for next-generation platforms: hierarchical 3D pathfinding compatible with streaming mechanisms, 3D dynamic pathfinding for full physics games, automatic 3D perception and pathfinding data generation supporting very large maps, 3D topology dynamic analysis, team coordination mechanisms, and AI architecture with high level performance.
