Codeworks GameHorizon and Game Republic, two support agencies for the UK's games industry, have announced a major conference in York, UK on May 10, 2007 to explore emerging opportunities for game developers. Officials for the conference say that Northern Exposure will take "an in-depth look at the mass market and uncover emerging opportunities for UK developers to get involved." The key themes for the conference will include casual games, digital distribution and business models with of course, a look into the future. Conference representatives have also announced that the line-up of speakers will include staff from Eidos, MumboJumbo (Luxor), Introversion (Darwinia, DEFCON) and Eutechnyx (Big Mutha Truckers) head up the line-up of speakers. Nina Cliff of GameHorizon said: “Northern Exposure 07 will give the UK’s games community an unmissible chance to find out how they can take advantage of emerging opportunities in the industry from the people and the companies who are already doing it successfully."
