The Game Initiative, a producer and host of video game-related events, has announced the first European Advertising in Games Forum, a conference for all parties involved in game-based advertising. The forum will host advertisers, publishers, and developers to examine the state of advertising in games. The one-day conference will include six sessions on facets of in-game advertising. A market overview will examine the state of the sub-industry and where it's expected to go; new platforms and technologies for dynamic ad loading will be discussed in the second panel; pros and cons of in-game ads from the publisher's point of view will be the theme of the third session; the needs of advertisers will be the fourth topic; measuring ads' effectiveness will be the fifth point of discussion; and the day will end with in-game ads from the developer's point of view. Registration for the event is open at the forum website. The European Advertising in Games Forum will be held at the Charing Cross Imperial College in London, on November 17th. It will begin at 8:30 AM and last until 5:00, with breaks for socializing and lunch.
