Machine Union, a developer formed late last year by engineers, artists, producers, designers and managers from SCEA San Diego, has announced that it has enlisted the help of agency Flashman Studios to represent the development studio within the games industry, reinforcing the company’s business and intellectual property development as well as finding new deals, partners and projects. Machine demonstrated its Machinder technology and games, behind closed doors, at the 2005 Game Connection in Lyon, France, as well as during the 2006 Game Connection held during this year’s Game Developer’s Conference in San Jose. The Machinder game engine incorporates high-end graphics with a dynamic object system, allowing for different ways to use and manipulate dynamic objects. Flashman will exclusively represent Machine in the interactive industry, working with the company to identify new opportunities and using the agency's numerous contacts and years of experience to bring Machine’s passion for gaming and Machinder’s unique technical capabilities to the new generation of console and game platforms. “We are very happy to be working with Flashman,” said said Geoff Houston, general manager of Machine. “The agency has a stellar reputation and has worked with a number of highly respected organizations, licenses and games. Flashman’s experience and comprehensive industry knowledge make them a valuable addition to the Machine arsenal.”
