In this latest Gamasutra student gallery, we present a selection of artwork from the portfolio of Robin Chyo, currently studying at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, where he is pursuing courses in Illustration, Digital Portfolio, Science Fiction, and others. Chyo is a concept designer/illustrator who says of his favorite game-related art: "My favorite game art is Yoji Shinkawa's work in the Metal Gear Solid series. He's really done an amazing job with creating interesting-looking characters and the cool part is that most of them are designed off of real-world outfits (bomb suits, military garb, and so on). But his technical work stands out the most. His Cyborg Ninja still stands out as one of the best designed characters in the world of gaming." You can learn more about Chyo and view some of his work created for his various courses, including both character and environment concepts, in this latest Gamasutra gallery (no registration required.)
