Epic Games announced six finalists for the ‘Best Vehicle Capture the Flag Level’ competition, which is the first phase of four in Intel’s "Make Something Unreal Contest". The $1,000,000 contest rewards mods created for Unreal Tournament 3. Cash and hardware prizes will be given to winners of four preliminary phases and a grand final judging. Epic will reveal the winners in all 10 Phase 1 categories next week at the Austin Game Developers Conference (September 15-17, 2008). The Best Vehicle Capture the Flag finalists are as follows: Asunder by Matthew "Xyius" Brandsema CanalWarfare by Neil “plugh” Hodges Luracia by Christopher “Twigsby” Smith Megastructure_SE by Thomas “Setheran” Browett OffTheRails by Neil “plugh” Hodges TheDig by Chris “Plutonic” Blundell Epic will begin accepting submissions for the second phase of the “Make Something Unreal Contest” on September 30; the entry deadline is October 17, 2008.
