The organizers of the non-profit Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) announced the launch of the Program Partnership Lecture Series as part of its overall Program Partnership with the Ex’pression College for Digital Arts. The series, which represents a comprehensive program for both students and industry professionals alike, and will be hosted at the Ex’pression College campus, is set to include extensive industry based sessions and demonstrations presented by noteworthy G.A.N.G. lecture pool members. G.A.N.G. confirmed that video game, film, recording, and television composer as well as musician, engineer, and solo artist, Tom Salta will open the series of lectures from May 30 through June 1, during which time he will present a number of programs including lecture and master classes, as well as a portfolio review, and a curriculum design roundtable. “It is a thrill to host our first panel discussion, curriculum summit, and master-class series as part of our exclusive Program Partnership with Ex’pression College,” said Paul Lipson, G.A.N.G. Senior Director and Board Member. “This really is what G.A.N.G. is all about: cutting edge professional development activities that serve everyone in the game audio community.” Additional lectures for the Program Partnership Lecture Series are in development, and are expected to be announced soon on the official G.A.N.G. website. In March G.A.N.G. announced its multipoint partnership with the Ex’pression College for Digital Arts, with included the establishment of two new $10,000 scholarships for G.A.N.G. members toward a Bachelor of Applied Science degree program for game audio studies.
