Unity has announced the speaker line-up for Vision Summit 2016, a new "developer driven" event designed to teach attendees about the opportunities, challenges, and potential presented by emerging VR and AR technology.

The middleware developer has brought in a number of high-profile names for its inaugural conference, such as Oculus founder Palmer Luckey, Valve founder Gabe Newell, who'll be giving a "special address," and Clay Bavor, VP of virtual reality at Google.

Joining them will be Unity CEO John Riccitiello; Unity CTO Joachim Ante; PlayStation Magic Lab director, Dr Richard Marks; 5D Global Studio's creative director, Alex McDowell; and Dr. Jeff Morris, a mission operations innovation lead from NASA's jet propulsion lab.

Vision Summit 2016, which will take place at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood from February 10-11, 2016, will play host to a number of VR/AR demos, networking events, and breakout sessions.

The event will also showcase leading technologies and platforms, including PlayStation VR, Steam VR and Oculus, and will feature an introduction to Windows Holographic from the Microsoft HoloLens team.
