Gamasutra and sister publication Game Developer magazine have been honored with 5 nominations to the prestigious Maggie Awards, with nominees including Gamasutra itself (in best web trade publication), Jon Jordan's 'The Euro Vision' column, and Frank Cifaldi's recent article on the Xbox Live camera. In other categories for the long-standing awards, Game Developer magazine itself was nominated for Best Computer Trade Magazine (for the April 2006 issue) and Best Annual Trade Magazine (for the 2006 Game Career Guide special.) The Western Publications Association (WPA), the creator of the Maggie Awards, is a non-profit trade association working to advance the business of print and online magazines in the western United States, and has been operating for more than 50 years.
