Developers recently revealed several high-profile video games, including Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, AKI's Ready 2 Rumble Revolution, and CD Projekt's The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for PlayStation 3, a direct sequel to 2007's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, will again release for the PlayStation 3 via publisher Sony. It will star Nathan Drake, who is on a quest to uncover mysteries behind 13th century explorer Marco Polo, according to a report from Game Informer. The title, which is due out in 2009, will add a free climbing mechanic and stealth elements. Ready 2 Rumble Revolution for Wii marks the first new entry for the arcade boxing series in eight years, as well as a publisher shift. Due spring 2009, the game will feature 18 boxers caricatured after celebrities, and enable players to punch and move with Wii Remote and Nunchuk gestures, similar to the boxing game in Wii Sports. Atari will take over publishing duties from Midway, as AKI (Def Jam: Fight for NY) handles development. Previously a PC-exclusive series, The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf will ship for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in autumn 2009, courtesy of publisher Atari and a co-operation with French developer Widescreen. Though based on the same fantasy story in the original PC game, Rise of the White Wolf will use a new game engine and a new combat system. The latter two games were revealed at an Atari event in London which also showcased a new game from Q Entertainment and Tetsuya Mizuguchi.
