A new set of stamps has been issued by La Poste, the French postal service, featuring images of several beloved video game icons. The set of 10 stamps, which retail collectively for 2.65 euros ($3.09 USD), is already available in French post offices and through La Poste's website. The characters and games featured on the stamps are Nintendo character Legend of Zelda's Link (in Twilight Princess guise), Nintendo's Mario, Namco's Pac-Man, Ubisoft's Prince of Persia and Rayman, Core Design/Eidos' Tomb Raider lead Lara Croft, Insomniac and Vivendi's Spyro the Dragon, Nintendo's Donkey Kong (the modern version, rather than the classic adversary), and two Sims from Maxis and Electronic Arts' The Sims. The tenth character featured is Adibou, the star of a series of adventure games for PC more widely known in France than anywhere else. The games are published by French software giant Vivendi, and are evidently popular enough in the country to get their own postage stamp.
