This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending March 16, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart. Last week's most popular release in Sony's PlayStation 2 swan song God of War II was knocked into second place this week by Ubisoft's Xbox 360 sequel Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, which took top honors as the most requested game across all consoles. Electronic Arts' Def Jam Icon rounded out the top three requests on the week's all platform chart. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 also topped all Xbox 360 requests for the week, followed by EA's Def Jam Icon and Microsoft's sandbox action game Crackdown. Elsewhere, PlayStation 3 requests were again topped by Sony's racing game MotorStorm, with Bethesda's role-playing epic Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the PS3 version of EA's The Godfather: The Don's Edition. On the Wii, it was EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 that took the top spot for the week. A pair from Nintendo - the upcoming Super Paper Mario and the mini-game collection Wii Play - rounded out the console's top three requests. Unsurprisingly, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess once again ranked as the most popular GameCube title for the week, followed by other first party releases Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Mario Party 7. As was the case last week, God of War II ranked as the top requested PlayStation 2 release for the week among GameFly subscribers, followed by Take Two's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and EA's Burnout: Dominator. On the original Xbox, it was Vivendi's Scarface: The World Is Yours that took the top spot for the week, followed by Family Guy and Midway's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. As with last week, Nintendo DS requests were again topped by Nintendo's Wario: Master of Disguise, while Buena Vista's Spectrobes and Nintendo's own Pokemon Diamond filled out the top three requests for the handheld. Game Boy Advance requests were topped by Square Enix's Final Fantasy VI Advance, followed by Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald and Square Enix's Final Fantasy V. Finally, looking to the PSP, the top requested game for the week turned out to be Eidos' move inspired 300: March to Glory, followed by Sony's own Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, and Activision's Call of Duty: Roads to Victory.
