This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending December 15, highlight the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. While last week saw Capcom's upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive Lost Planet: Extreme Condition take the top spot across all rental requests, the latest charts saw the return of Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas to the top of the all platform list. Lost Planet still retained a respectable grip onto the second spot for the week, followed by Activision's popular World War II shooter Call of Duty 3. As has been the case in recent weeks, these same titles represented the top Xbox 360 requests for the week as well. PlayStation 3 requests were topped by Sony's next-gen FPS Resistance: Fall of Man, while the PlayStation 3 port of EA's Fight Night: Round 3 took second place honors for the console. The top three PS3 requests for the week were rounded out by Ubisoft's Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII. Wii requests were topped by Konami's recently shipped Elebits, while Tecmo's Super Swing Golf and Ubisoft's Rayman Raving Rabbids filled out the top three. Looking back a console generation, Call of Duty 3 topped all Xbox requests for the week, followed by LucasArts' Thrillville and Vivendi's Scarface: The World Is Yours. Take Two's sandbox game Bully dominated all PlayStation 2 requests for the week, while Call of Duty 3 and Midway's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon rounded out the top three requests for Sony's platform. Not surprisingly, Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess remained the most requested GameCube title for the week, followed by D3P's Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 and LucasArts' LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. A pair of Final Fantasy ports proved popular on the Game Boy Advance chart for the week, with Final Fantasy VI Advance taking the top spot. Final Fantasy V Advance was the second most requested GBA release for the week, followed by Nintendo's own Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. Konami's recently released Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin ranked as the top requested Nintendo DS title for the week, followed by a pair of Nintendo published titles in Kirby: Squeak Squad and Yoshi's Island DS. Lastly, the weekly PSP chart was again topped by Konami's Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, followed by Ubisoft's Brothers in Arms: D-Day and Star Wars: Lethal Alliance.
