GameFly Charts Topped By Lost Planet, 360

This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending December 8, highlight the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. The week's requests were topped by Capcom's upcoming Xbox 360 arctic bug hunt Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, which ships for the console on January 12, 2007. The second most requested title across all platforms was Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, which fell one spot for the week after two weeks on top of the chart. The top three overall requests were rounded out by Activision's popular World War II first-person shooter Call of Duty 3. While these three titles also made up the top Xbox 360 requests for the week, it was EA's PlayStation 3 port of Fight Night: Round 3 that topped all requests for Sony's newest console. Call of Duty 3 ranked second among all PS3 requests for the week, followed by Sony's own Resistance: Fall of Man. Wii requests were dominated by the dramatic surgical simulator Trauma Center: Second Opinion, while Ubisoft's Red Steel and the upcoming Super Swing Golf from Tecmo filled out the top three requests for Nintendo's console. Looking to the previous console generation, Xbox requests were topped by Call of Duty 3, while EA's movie tie-in Superman Returns and LucasArts' strategy sim Thrillville proved popular as well as the second and third most requested Xbox titles respectively. Take-Two's Bully continued to be the most requested PlayStation 2 title for the week, followed by Square Enix's Final Fantasy XII and the ever popular Call of Duty 3. Finally, the GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess proved to be the biggest draw for the week for Nintendo's console, followed by LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy and D3P's fighter Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2. Game Boy Advance requests were again led by Nintendo's Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue, while the company's Pokemon Emerald ranked second on the weekly chart. The top three GBA requests were rounded out by Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap. Konami's recently shipped Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin claimed the top spot in terms of Nintendo DS requests for the week, followed by Nintendo's Kirby: Squeak Squad. Square Enix's 3D remake of Final Fantasy III ranked as the third most requested Nintendo DS title for the week. Turning to the PSP, Konami's Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops was the most requested title for the handheld, followed by Sony's Killzone: Liberation and Ubisoft's action adventure title, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance.
