GameFly Rental Chart Highlights: Week Ending July 25

This week's GameFly video game rental charts for North America, specifically relating to games rented via the games-by-mail service for the week ending July 25th, show popularity over multiple game formats. After a brief period at the top of the rental charts, NCAA Football 2006's moment of glory has passed, and familiar titles are back leading the all-formats category. Destroy All Humans! resurfaces to take back the #1 spot by force, and the surprisingly tenacious God of War hangs on at second place, leaving NCAA 2006 down at third for the week. Destroy All Humans! has also subjugated the puny human games on the Xbox charts, with the collective roster of NCAA Football 2006 paying homage to its new alien overlords from second place. In third is Conker: Live and Reloaded. On the PlayStation 2, God of War is tediously victorious once again, with the utterly expected titles Destroy All Humans! and NCAA Football 2006 in second and third. Speaking of long-lived: the GameCube mutiny is over, and Resident Evil 4 is back on top after a few weeks' hiatus from the #1 position on the GC charts. Capcom's other GameCube zombie-slaying spree, Killer 7, slides down to #2, as the licensed Fantastic Four game continues its odd reign at #3. The weekly Mad Hatter's Tea Party between top Game Boy Advance games this time results in Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap in first place, Pokémon Emerald back in second after grabbing the glory last week, and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones pushed downhill a bit further to #3. Over on the PSP, this week's random game jumbler serves up Coded Arms returning to #1, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition down to #2, and old favorite Ridge Racer back in the top 3 at third place. This week's lone new game comes to us courtesy of embattled publisher Majesco: Nanostray has debuted at #2 on the Nintendo DS charts, just below top favorite Kirby: Canvas Curse. The #3 game on the DS remains Q Entertainment's Meteos.
