GameFly U.S. Chart Dominated By Xbox 360, Prey

This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending July 7, highlights the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. The all platform chart was once again dominated by titles for the Xbox 360, with Take-Two and Human Head's upcoming Xbox 360 first-person shooter Prey again taking the top spot as the most requested title across all console platforms for the week. Sega and From Software's Chromehounds was the second most requested title for the week, followed by Electronic Arts' recently released Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II. (Although two of these games have PC SKUs, GameFly does not rent PC titles.) Thus, obviously, the same three titles ranked as the most popular Xbox 360 titles for the week. On the original Xbox, Electronic Arts' upcoming release of NCAA Football 07 ranked as the most popular title for the platform, followed by Eidos' stealth action title Hitman: Blood Money. The top three Xbox requests for the week were rounded out by EA's football simulation title NFL Head Coach. Riding on the wave of popularity from the recently released film, Bethesda's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow was the most popular PlayStation 2 title for the week. Namco Bandai's Naruto: Ultimate Ninja was the second most requested PlayStation 2 title for the week, followed by EA's NCAA Football 07. THQ's Monster House, which is based upon the upcoming animated film, was the most requested GameCube title for the week, followed by the Next-Level Games-developed Super Mario Strikers. Sega's Super Monkey Ball Adventure rounded out the top tree GameCube requests for the week. Game Boy Advance requests for the week were dominated by Pokemon Emerald from Nintendo, while Atari's Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure and Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap ranked as the second and third most requested GBA titles respectively. Regarding the Nintendo DS, requests once again remained static from previous weeks, with Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. on top, followed by casual games Big Brain Academy and Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!. Buena Vista's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest ranked as the most requested PSP title for the week, followed by Square Enix's Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Sony's action platformer Daxter rounded out the top three requests for Sony's portable for the week.
