GameFly U.S. Chart Sees Prey Most-Requested

This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending June 26, highlights the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. The all platform chart saw a number of changes from last week, with Take-Two and Human Head's upcoming Xbox 360 first-person shooter Prey taking the top spot as the most requested title across all console platforms for the week. Ubisoft's Taito-developed Xbox 360 aerial combat game Over G Fighters was the second most requested title on the chart, followed by Sega and From Software's upcoming Xbox 360 mech combat title, Chromehounds. Obviously, the same three titles ranked as the most popular Xbox 360 titles for the week. On the original Xbox, Electronic Arts' recently shipped sports simulation NFL Head Coach was the most popular title for the week, followed by Eidos' shooter Urban Chaos: Riot Response. EA's explosive first-person shooter Black continued its hold on the chart, as this week it remained the third most requested title for the Xbox. EA's NFL Head Coach was also the most requested title for the week for the PlayStation 2, as the recent release knocked Take-Two's Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories into second place. Eidos' Urban Chaos: Riot Response was the third most requested title for the platform for the week. GameCube requests for the week were once again topped by THQ's Cars, which is based upon the popular CG animated movie. A pair of Nintendo titles, Mario Party 7 and the Next-Level Games-developed Super Mario Strikers, ranked as the second and third most requested titles respectively for the GameCube platform. On the Game Boy Advance, Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh Ultimate Masters 2006 took the top spot, followed by Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald and Capcom's recently shipped Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar. The top three requested titles for the Nintendo DS remained the same from the previous week, with Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. on top, followed by casual games Big Brain Academy and Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!. The PSP request list for the week was topped by Sony's action adventure game Daxter, followed by Capcom's RPG Monster Hunter freedom. Eidos' recently shipped PSP version of Tomb Raider: Legend rounded out the top three requests for Sony's portable for the week.
