GameFly U.S. Game Chart Highlights: Week Ending June 9

This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending June 9, highlights the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. For the third consecutive week, the week's top title on the all platform chart was Hitman: Blood Money, followed by a pair of titles from Take-Two: Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PlayStation 2 and upcoming Xbox 360 first-person shooter Prey. The week's most requested Xbox 360 titles were likewise topped by Hitman: Blood Money. Prey was the second most requested Xbox 360 title for the week, followed by Sega's upcoming shooter Chromehounds. On the original Xbox, Hitman: Blood Money proved that its popularity transcends platforms by being the most popular title for the week. Majesco's recently shipped Jaws Unleashed, which allows players to take on the role of the man hunting shark, was the second most requested title, followed by Electronic Arts' explosive first-person shooter Black. The PlayStation 2 chart remained unchanged from the previous week, with Take-Two's Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories taking the pole position. Hitman: Blood Money ranked as the second most requested title for the week, followed by Activision's X-Men: The Official Game. GameCube requests for the week were topped by THQ's Cars, which is based recent theatrical release. Activision's video game adaptation of the film Over the Hedge was the second most requested GameCube title, followed by Nintendo and Next Level Games' Super Mario Strikers. Atari's Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure was the most requested game of the week for the Game Boy Advance, followed by Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald and Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap. Nintendo's recently released Big Brain Academy was the most popular title on the Nintendo DS chart, followed by New Super Mario Bros. and Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!. Capcom's upcoming RPG Monster Hunter Freedom once again ranked as the most requested PSP title for the week, followed by Sony Online Entertainment's turn-based strategy title Field Commander and Sony's action adventure game Daxter.
