This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending September 29, highlights the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. The week saw a number of significant changes across multiple charts, including the all platform chart, which was topped by Eidos' recently released multiplatform action title, Just Cause. Last week's number one overall title, The Godfather, fell to second place for the week, while the top three most requested titles were rounded out by Ubisoft's upcoming Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Interestingly, these same three titles dominated Xbox 360-specific requests for the week as well. Looking to the original Xbox, it was Just Cause that ranked as the most requested title for the period, followed by Vivendi's Scarface: The World Is Yours and Electronic Arts' annual basketball release, NBA Live 07. On the PlayStation 2, it was again Capcom's Okami that pulled in the most requests, followed by Take Two Interactive's upcoming controversial release, Bully. Square Enix's recently shipped role-playing sequel, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, rounded out the top three requests for the platform. D3P's Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 was again the most asked for GameCube title for the week, while Midway's recent Cartoon Network-inspired release, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, took the second spot on the chart. Another title based on a children's animated series, THQ's Avatar: The Last Airbender, ranked third on the GameCube chart for the week. Turning to the Game Boy Advance, it was again Nintendo's Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team that served as the most requested title for the week, followed by another Pokemon title in Pokemon Emerald and platforming classic Super Mario Advance 4. Recent release Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis was the most requested Nintendo DS title for the week, followed by Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Mario Hoops 3 on 3. PSP requests were topped by Sony's recently released Gangs of London, followed by arcade puzzler LocoRoco and the ever-popular LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. GameFly requests for titles for the PlayStation 3 this week saw Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed again rising to take the top spot, knocking last week's number one title, Sony's Heavenly Sword, into the third position. The second most requested PS3 title for the week was Sony's Resistance: Fall of Man. Wii requests saw minor shifting from the previous week, with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess falling to the second spot in favor of Ubisoft's Wii-exclusive Red Steel. As was the case last week, the top three Wii requests were rounded out by Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
