The organizers of the 5th Annual Game Developers Conference Europe (GDC Europe) have announced a third new keynote and new sessions including an audio boot camp for the event, due to take place between August 30th and September 1st at London's Le Meridien Hotel. The new keynote is from Microsoft's Chris Satchell, General Manager of the Game Developer Group for Microsoft Corp and the person leading Microsoft's XNA efforts, and is entitled "Gearing Your Team for the Next Generation". It's due to be given on Thursday, September 1st, and has been added to the other GDCE keynotes, which include SCEE's executive vice president of development Phil Harrison and Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi. In addition, an 'audio boot camp' held by Microsoft's Scott Selfon and Sony's Dave Ranyard has been announced, to be held from 10am to 6pm on Tuesday, August 31st. According to the session information, the boot camp "will attempt to explain major audio concepts in language suitable for composers, sound designers, programmers, and game designers - in short, an opportunity to learn what concepts like 'rolloff', 'ADPCM', and 'multi-streaming' really mean and how they are used by games." These sessions are added to a number of already-announced talks for the conference, including development representatives behind games such as Wipeout Pure, Killzone, Project Gotham Racing 3 and a number of other titles. [GDC Europe is presented by the CMP Game Group, organizers of the Game Developers Conference and Serious Games Summit, and publishers of Game Developer Magazine and Gamasutra.com.]
