The organizers of Game Developers Conference Europe have announced a call for submissions for the event, due to take place between August 30th and September 1st at London's Le Meridien Hotel. Details of talks that game professionals would like to put forward can be submitted at the official GDC Europe website, and take the form of either presentations that include examples, are issue-oriented, and contain both practical and theoretical information, panels that take many different viewpoints on a topic or issue and combine them in one venue, or longer tutorials. The deadline for submissions is Friday 15th July, and chosen speakers will join the recently announced keynotes from Sony's Phil Harrison and Namco's Keita Takahashi at the event, as well as representatives from the developers behind Killzone, Singstar and Project Gotham Racing 3. GDC Europe is presented by the CMP Game Group, organizers of the Game Developers Conference and Serious Games Summit, and publishers of Game Developer Magazine and Gamasutra.com. In addition to the GDC Europe call for submissions, the Serious Games Summit, to be held in Arlington, Virginia this October, is also currently asking for abstracts, with a deadline of July 1st. In a separate statement, the organizers of Game Developers Conference 2006 have indicated that its call for papers for GDC 2006, to be held in San Jose, will commence on July 1st.
