The participants of GDC Mobile 2006, a mobile games-focused adjunct to the Game Developers Conference [which, like Gamasutra.com and Game Developer Magazine, is a function of CMP Game Group] have formed an advisory board to determine the content of next year's panels and sessions. Members of the advisory board include Matthew Bellows of Floodgate Entertainment, Robin Chan of Verizon Wireless, David Collier of Pikkle KK, Jason Ford of Sprint Nextel, Tim Harrison of Vodafone Group, Jani Karlsson of Nokia, Kyu C. Lee of Gamevil, Chris Melissinos of Sun Microsystems, Mark Ollila of Telcogames, Jyri Ranki of Sumea/Digital Chocolate, Lincoln Wallen of Electronic Arts, Mike Yuen of Qualcomm, and Robert Tercek of Venture Intellect. "We brought together mobile industry heavyweights to inform this year's GDC Mobile program, and elevate the level of discussion about games and mobile entertainment," said GDC conference director Jamil Moledina. "We've asked experts from Asia, Europe, and the Americas to analyze the key issues surrounding mobile gaming so we can unravel what's next for the global mobile game industry." GDC Mobile 2006 will take place during the main GDC, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California, from March 20-21, 2006. The mobile portion of the event will feature over 40 sessions of various types, covering a variety of topics including 3D development, licensing, and distribution. A full list of information is available at the GDC Mobile website.
