Organizers of the GC (Games Convention) Developer Conference (GCDC) have announced the list of speakers who will talk at the 2006 convention, which will take place from August 21-23 in Leipzig, Germany. In addition, organizers confirmed that the call for papers for additional topics for the event ends today, as does the deadline for interested students who would like to provide support services to the conferences at the GCDC. Confirmed speakers will include Bob Bates, chairman of the IGDA, as well as David Freeman, CEO of the Freeman Group; Don L. Daglow, president at Stormfront Studios; David Smith, managing director of Interactive Selection; Christopher Schmitz, executive producer of CDV Software; Sean Kauppinen, director of Kohnke Communications; Graham Hopper, senior vice president Buena Games Worldwide; Sven Liebich, art director at Phenomic Game Developer; and Jeff Hilbert, president of Digital Development Management. The conference will cover numerous topics, including development, business and science, each introduced by a special international keynote address. In addition, the program will include what is being labeled as a “next-generation topic”. More information is available at the official GCDC website.
