Havok, a supplier of cross-platform middleware solutions, confirmed that Havok Physics has been used by Irrational Games to develop the fourth installment of the SWAT franchise from Irrational and Vivendi Universal Games, as well Pandemic Studios for THQ’s Destroy All Humans. The developers at Irrational Games used Havok Physics technology extensively throughout SWAT to meet their unique game play requirements, including intense environmental debris and rag-dolls. Destroy All Humans! features an implementation of the Havok physics engine, including destruction effects worthy of alien weapons, human and vehicle behaviors whilst under the influence of psychokinesis, and physically simulated cow udders. Havok recently released Havok Complete. Together, Havok Physics 3 and Havok Animation 3 will provide a powerful, integrated physics and animation solution available for next generation games.
