Publisher iEntertainment Network has launched a new division called iMagic Mobile as part of the company's plan to deliver massively multiplayer, networked gaming to the mobile phone gaming market. iMagic Mobile is focused on multiplayer technologies, massively multiplayer games, and mobile games where players can compete against large number of players for great prizes and awards. The new division is being assisted in this new effort by consulting and venture capital firm Lighthouse Partners of Durham, NC. iMagic Mobile expects to launch the first of its new multiplayer games over the next two months. The company will file for additional patents regarding massively multiple mobile gaming in the near future, and will develop its own massively multiplayer mobile phone games using in-house IPs, as well license other multiplayer games. iMagic Mobile will also develop new properties that will be launched on as yet unannounced video game platforms. “iEntertainment Network has always focused its efforts on massively multiplayer video gaming,” said JW “Wild Bill” Stealey, CEO of iMagic Mobile and iEntertainment Network. “We even own an important patent to enable massively multiplayer gaming. We will take this same focus, some important new patents, and new products to the mobile market.”
