The Imagina event, a meeting of European video game producers and creators based in Monaco, has announced the Imagina Games Awards, to be given out at the event's 2006 festival. The event will be held from February 1-3, 2006, in Monaco. Any individual, from professional to student to independent, can enter his or her games in the Imagina Games Awards. The only requirement is that the game must be completed in the year 2005; the deadline for entry submissions is January 1, 2006. Entrants can register their games at the official website. Apart from the awards, the Imagina festival will host a number of professionals from the European games industry. 150 developers have been invited to give presentations at the three-day event, and the show will also play host to game demos and meeting venues between attendees. The festival will also feature special areas for hardware and middleware vendors to present their products directly to the developers.
