German browser-based online game developer and publisher InnoGames announced that its titles have attracted 50 million players since its founding in 2006 -- 30 million of which is from its first title, Tribal Wars, which is currently available in 33 different languages. "This is really a huge success for us. We put a lot of effort and passion into our games; therefore it is a big motivation that they give pleasure to so many players," says InnoGames founder Hendrik Klindworth. InnoGames reached that milestone as it prepares to grow the company and its presence. It plans to hire 100 new jobs in the next months, adding to its staff of 80 employees (including a dozen trainees and dual students) and 75 freelancers, the latter working as community managers around the world. The Hamburg-headquartered free-to-play publisher also recently raised an undisclosed amount of financing that it's putting toward its international expansion. Last April, it established its first subsidiary company with InnoGames Korea, and the firm intends to publish more Asian titles in North America and Europe. Innogames has also made moves to diversify its portfolio this year, releasing its first Facebook title, WestWars, last month. The game already has some 40,000 fans and 250,000 monthly active users. Furthermore, the company has licensed Rosso Index's client-based MMORPG Japanese Acadia Saga, which it will publish in the coming weeks.
