Sony takes an interesting turn in advertising Uncharted 3.  In recent years, Sony has proven that it will take...different... approaches to advertising.  This particular one is unique in that it actually spoils the previous iterations of the game as its core concept.  The bigger question is whether or not it will make Uncharted 3 compelling for these audiences or if they will then elect to wait for an Uncharted movie.

On one hand it does allow for people new to the series to catch up on current events within the world.  On the other, if they have already been exposed to the story directly, they may elect to not buy the previous games as they are already up to date.  Lastly, the joke going around regarding it already is that the couple in the show emulate how excluding the experience can be in that one has to sit and watch the other play, though this can be technically rewarding if the other just wants the story.  Overall, I am looking forward to the game and would probably react well to this take on promoting franchises.
