Often in games, the playable character will consume an item.  Sometimes this item is a foodstuff, perhaps influenced by the development team's personal tastes.  If the food is particularly outstanding in universe, the characters may call attention to it to the point of the player deciding they would want to devour it.   Luckily, gourmetgaming is to the rescue on that front.

Items ranging from Thomas' Biscuit from Deadly Premonition to the Pizza Sundae in Costume Quest (incoming!) are being made into real life analogs complete with recipes so that anyone can do it themselves.  The only interesting problem could be extrapolating ingredients from still images of low resolution foodstuffs, but she seems to be doing just fine there.  Honestly, I'd pick up a cookbook of video game recipes formy nerdy kitchen inclined friends.  At least as long as she doesn't try to suggest making a 2 Gallon Coffee Creamer.
