As many already are aware, China has distinctively loose policies on foreign intellectual properties.  Not as extravagent as the World of Warcraft theme park, the latest event has been an angry birds real life analog.  Considering that this has already been done as a marketing event in Spain, with low range explosives in the pigs  this feels lackluster as well as illegal.

While this does raise visibility in the Chinese market for the products featured, it also does impede the motivation of development houses to release content in China.  Without official support, there is also the risk of the image being corrupted or under represented by the people replicating the product.  Overall, if the Chinese consumers want to experience these products it would be better if they could influence the government to protect foreign IPs though with political issues that much is understandable.  Otherwise, they'll have to take up imports and digital distribution.
