Officials from troubled publisher Interplay have announced the company’s second quarter results, for the three months that ended June 30th. During the quarter, revenues rose from $1.1 million a year earlier to $3.14 million this year, with a similar rise in gross profits from $155,000 to $1.78 million. The net loss after tax fell from $5.38 million in 2003 to just $1.95 million, or $0.02 per share. The company also revealed details of the sale of the Redneck Rampage franchise to Vivendi Universal Games for $300,000 and of the Fallout series to Bethesda for $1.175 million. Bethesda was also given the option to develop two further Fallout games for a minimum $1 million advance against royalties.
