In a widely expected move Interplay officials have announced that the company has terminated its distribution agreement with Vivendi Universal Games. Vivendi lawyers allege that Interplay breached the distribution deal between the two companies and are currently suing the company for damages. Interplay lawyers, on the other hand, allege that Vivendi have refused to pay the company certain monies owed following the release of Lionheart and that legal action is being considered. The company has been keen to emphasis that the release of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel will not be affected by these issues.
