Jason Rubin, founder and former president of Naughty Dog and opinionated game development community member, has been announced as the keynote speaker for the second annual Vancouver International Game Summit. The focus of the summit is on both video game development and business, with three tracks: management, technology, and design. Other speakers will include Susan O'Connor, one of the writers of BioShock and Far Cry 2; Tarrnie Williams, president of Relic, who will be speaking on a panel about game studio business models; and Mark James, senior technical director at Radical, who will speak about how technology forces major design decisions. The mostly completed conference agenda is available online. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver May 21 and 22, and registration is open.
