Officials from Austrian publisher JoWooD Productions have announced the re-launch of the company’s game label JoWooD, while at the same time launching a new corporate brand named JoWooD Group. The recent enlargement of the company’s structure and the increasing range of product lines and brands have lead to the move, with executives deciding that a new, external corporate brand is necessary. The JoWooD Group now consists of five distinct publishing labels, the most prominent being JoWooD – the company’s premium label widely used in continental Europe and specializing in PC games. The label G-Stars will also be maintained in Europe for lower priced games and those requiring lower PC system requirements. The group will use the DreamCatcher brand in North America as its primary premium priced label, as well as The Adventure Company for games in the adventure and role-playing genre. SilverLine Software will continue to be the North American equivalent of G-Stars with a range of budget software. “With the re-launch of our Web appearance, we are able to show the structure of the JoWooD Productions Software AG clear and transparent. All of our target groups, gamers, investors and shareholders get their own information platform. The logo re-launch is the visualization and external communication of our brand reorientation“, explained Johannes Natterer, senior marketing manager JoWooD Productions.
