Kynogon, the French-headquartered developer of the RenderWare AI artificial intelligence plug-in, has announced its latest AI middleware, named Kynapse 4.0. Kynapse 4.0 will be distributed directly by Kynogon for current and next-generation consoles. Kynapse 4.0 includes specific features for next-generation platforms: hierarchical 3D pathfinding compatible with streaming mechanisms, 3D dynamic pathfinding for full physics games, automatic 3D perception and pathfinding data generation supporting very large maps, 3D topology dynamic analysis, team coordination mechanisms, and AI architecture with high level performance. Previous or current Kynogon customers include EA Games, Vivendi Universal Games, Real Time Worlds, Amuze, and Midway - more information on the company is available at its official website.
