For the third week in a row the Japanese charts have seen a new title go in straight at number one. Square Enix’s Drag-on Dragoon (aka Drakengard) made an impressive debut and Bandai’s latest Gundam title has done well to hang on to second place against competition from Sega’s latest baseball sim (to be known as Fierce Fight Professional Baseball in the West). Although sales traditionally drop off at this time of year in Japan, at the end of the summer vacation period, they have not done so as precipitously as usual with total sales steady at 75.99% of the weekly average.
