Representatives from developer Lingobit Technologies have announced the release of a new and improved version of the company’s localization software, which can be used for game titles as well as other software products. Lingobit Localizer 3.5 is marketed as a fully featured localization and internationalization tool, designed to simplify the way in which a project is localized. New key features include a new tool, Crash Finder, command line interface and import/export support for a broad range of translation memory formats. Crash Finder can be used to search for crash inducing strings in localized applications, while the software's new command-line line interface allows developers to integrate localization into their scripted building process. By the end of 2005, international online marketing from Global Research anticipates that 68 percent of the world's purchasing power and 92 percent of potential customers will not speak English as their native language. A fact brought home by the fact that 66 percent of the PlayStation user base is outside the USA.
