Distributor and publisher Majesco Entertainment (Cooking Mama) has announced that it has entered into a new partnership with Eidos Interactive to distribute Majesco's lineup of multiple Nintendo DS and Wii titles to European and Australian territories. According to Majesco officials, the agreement will mainly involve titles developed for the Nintendo DS, including Cake Mania, The New York Times Crosswords, MechAssault: Phantom War and Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park. In addition, Eidos will also distribute several of Majesco's as yet unannounced DS and Wii titles in the territories as well. Both companies plan to release a total of eight games by this summer, with 15 other titles to ship at a later date. Jason Dutton, Majesco's managing director, calls the partnership between the two companies “a natural progression” in Majesco's ongoing mass market growth strategy. "There is an obvious synergy between Eidos' focus on the casual games market and Majesco's expertise in this field," commented Eidos product acquisition director Ian Livingstone. "This is just the start of an exciting relationship with Majesco and furthers our commitment to casual games."
