Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
VR is a great way to make learning more engaging and fun for everyone

After doing some reading this week about the application of VR in education I learned some cool new bits of information. Something that I found particularly interesting is that even though technology fields are vastly increasing in size, our modern day school system is still laid out to prepare us for working in factories. Many high schools only offer classes such as computer science as an elective or don't even offer it at all. From what I gathered in my reading the aspect that will impact my work and projects the most is that making practice engaging is the silver bullet to making education fun and VR can help significantly with this. Example for this are endless however one example would be learning anatomy. Learning it from a textbook is never the most fun however adding pictures already makes it more engaging. For artists who need to learn anatomy drawing it from reference is even more engaging and can make it easier to retain the knowledge gained. If people could go into the human body in VR that about as immersed as you could get in anatomy without going into a lab and getting hands on. I can apply this to myself because when I learned anatomy in high school I found it hard to learn because it bored me but in college I took a traditional art class and I retained much more information just because I was engaged in the material I was learning by drawing it over and over again. The most important take away for this week is that people learn better when they are engaged in what they are doing and when they are having fun.
