In support for MI6: Marketing Interactive '06, the MI6 Advisory Committee has announced the formation of the Association of Electronic Interactive Marketers (AEIM), a professional trade organization designed to support the video game industry's marketers and related professionals in seizing opportunities and meeting future challenges. The organization will be led by a board of directors ultimately populated by the committee's founding members and other business leaders in the space. "After years of unparalleled growth, the electronic interactive entertainment industry has faced its future without a professional organization for its marketing leaders. We are thrilled that we now have one that will be led by some of this industry's most committed and successful marketers," said Bill Nielsen, Microsoft's Senior Director of Global Partnerships for Xbox. In addition, the lineup for MI6 has been expanded to include newly added speakers such as Activision's senior director of business development and licensing, David Anderson, Sega of America's vice president of entertainment marketing, Scott A. Steinberg, and Saneel Radia, group director of Play, a division of Denuo. Participants made up of MI6 founding members and sponsors have also been added to the conference, including Nokia, THQ, MTV Networks/Spike TV, Future US, Inc., Ziff Davis and Stephen Arnold Music. Marketing and branding executives from these companies join the roster that already includes Microsoft, Activision, Xbox, G4, Midway Games, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and ABC Entertainment, and others. The MI6: Marketing Interactive '06 is specifically designed for video game marketers, and will run alongside the inaugural Senet Awards for game marketing, to take place this June 27-28 in San Francisco.
