The Windows Graphics and Gaming Technology Team has announced the latest version of the DirectX SDK, available for immediate download. The new SDK can be found at the official WGGTT site. The update includes several additions and new features, such as a Direct3D 10 Technology Preview for Windows Vista; the Microsoft Cross-Platform Audio Creation Tool (XACT Beta); a managed DirectX for .NET Framework 2.0 (Beta), which includes support for the retail version of Visual Studio 2005; and the Windows Vista Game Explorer (Beta). The team has also created a cumulative redist to address some of the issues with the DirectX Runtime. In addition, they now offer a web installer that will incrementally update end users to the latest DirectX runtime libraries. Finally, XInput, PIX, and DxErr have all seen improvements. The update also includes new samples on HDR, as well as numerous additions to help users learn Direct3D 10.
