Representatives from the Art Institute Online's Game Art & Design program have announced that members of both Midway and Rapid Reality Studios (Phylon) will be serving as judges for its currently running contest to award two $10,000 student scholarships. One of the awarded scholarships will be presented to a current Art Institute Online student, with the other going to a prospective student. AiO's Game Art & Design program teaches students art and design skills that it says will help prepare them for positions such as modeler, storyboard artist, animation artist, 3-D illustrator, digital artist, FX artist, video post-production artist, broadcast graphics designer, and game designer. Midway Games' director of game design Richard Rouse III (The Suffering) will be representing his company, while Rapid Reality COO Tracy Spaight and creative director DJ Cassell will be representing their own. Other judges noted by AiO include HGTV host and designer Paige Rien, and Eloqui illustrators and designers Mark Stutzman and Laura Stutzman. Said Art Institute of Pittsburgh president George Pry, "We are excited to have a distinguished panel of judges who will select the scholarship recipients. The Live Your Creative Passion Scholarship Competition is a great opportunity for potential students to discover more about the online programs offered at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh." More details on the contest and program can be found at the Art Institute Online's website.
