UK-based mobile game publisher Finesse Mobile has announced the launch of Andy McNab's Enigma Force, developed by Italian studio Impressionware. McNab, a former SAS soldier turned best-selling author, is perhaps best known for his debut novel Bravo Two Zero, which recounted a failed SAS mission that took place during the Gulf War. He has since written over a dozen fictional novels. Enigma Force has players stepping into McNab's shoes, as they complete "a series of covert missions, hostage dramas and surveillance operations," using context-sensitive controls. "The missions are superbly crafted and realistically depict the skill and daring needed by an elite soldier," Finesse managing director Kevin Holloway said in a statement. "Random shooting will not get you through the levels of this game; thought is needed if you want to succeed."
