Erick Dyke, president and co-founder of Orlando, Florida-based N-Space Call of Duty 4 DS, Geist, died of complications from his cancer fight on November 10 at 41 and is remembered fondly by his colleagues.
Erick Dyke, president and co-founder of Orlando, Florida-based N-Space, died of complications from his cancer fight on November 10. He was 41. Alongside partner Dan O'Leary, Dyke led N-Space on a variety of releases including the DS Call of Duty 4, Rugrats on PlayStation and PS2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on DS and Mary Kate & Ashley. His company says he was also highly involved in creating and marketing N-Space's original titles, including PC game Tigershark and Geist on the GameCube. O'Leary will continue to lead the company. Dyke is survived by his wife Michelle, his parents Michael and Greta Dyke, and his brother Matthew. N-Space has established a permanent scholarship fund at Dyke's alma mater, Houghton, Michigan-based Michigan Technological University. "Both within the company he loved and the video game industry as a whole, Erick was an inspiration to all those with whom he worked and touched," says N-Space in a statement. "He will be remembered for his courage, vision, creativity, and love of life."
