U.S. wireless developer and publisher Namco Networks today announced a strategic partnership with Japanese mobile content provider G-Mode to publish the company's cellphone games in North America. G-Mode, which owns the Data East catalog (including titles such as Burgertime and Magical Drop) has selected Namco to publish the company's mobile content, which includes several puzzle, action and RPGs within North America. The partnership will help to further meet the growing demand for casual games in the North American cell phone market. “With Namco Networks being a major mobile content provider in North America, offering such games as Pac-Man and Dig Dug, this pairing should prove to be impressive in terms of technology, development and market expansion,” said Takeshi Miyaji, President and CEO of G-Mode. “Partnering with G-Mode expands our already large catalog of entertaining games, meeting the ever-increasing consumer demand for casual content,” said Kenji Hisatsune, President and CEO of Namco Networks. “G-Mode’s games have been hugely successful in Japan, and we believe this popularity will continue in North America.”
