Organizers have announced details of a new European conference named Casuality Europe, to be held in Amsterdam on the 8th and 9th February 2006. The conference aims to address the specific needs of casual game developers, publishers and distributors throughout the world on all delivery methods: download, handheld, retail and mobile. The Casuality Europe steering committee consists of Adam Schaub (Yahoo! International Games), John Welch (PlayFirst), Jenny Suh (Red Jump), Mathieu Nouzareth (Boonty), Riccardo Zacconi (Midasplayer) and is chaired by Rutger Peters (Zylom). "Casuality Europe is a one of a kind opportunity for international developers, publishers and distributors to share information, shape and grow the industry as well as network with business contacts in Europe," said Casuality managing director Jessica Tams. "With the rapid globalization of the casual games industry, a European based event is vital to ensure the casual gaming community is able to create and market content to a global consumer base." The event is designed to allow many opportunities for networking and meetings as well as detailed and informative workshops. Conference content is specifically targeted at those with five or more years of professional experience in business development, production, design or engineering. "We are excited for the opportunity to attend Casuality Europe in particular to meet with European developers," said Craig Holland, President of Freeze Tag. "Knowing some of the great minds behind events in the United States are the organizers of Casuality Europe, I feel confident that it will be a terrific educational and networking event." Further information and registration details can be found at the official Casuality website.
