[UPDATED: 3:30am PST] Today's regularly updated newsbriefs include news of Eidos distributing Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3 in Europe, and the release of the Xbox 360 demo for Command & Conquer 3. - British publisher Eidos Interactive has announced that it has been charged with the exclusive European distribution of Tecmo’s upcoming Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PlayStation 3. Eidos will release Ninja Gaiden Sigma this summer in Europe, with the game expected to debut in North America in June. The game, which offers a new take on Tecmo's successful Xbox releases Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black, will be the first next-generation game in the series, following the adventures of video game ninja Ryu Hayabusa. “This is a really exciting opportunity for Eidos and Tecmo. Ninja Gaiden is one of the most respected game franchises around and now we have the opportunity to bring Ninja Gaiden Sigma to PS3 consumers throughout Europe,” said Jane Cavanagh, chief executive, Eidos. - Microsoft and Electronic Arts have released the demo for the the upcoming Xbox 360 port of Command & Conquer 3. Available over the Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox Live Gold members, the demo weighs in at about 1GB and includes a sampling of the full game, which is expected to ship for the Xbox 360 in May. The demo (as well as the full game) also includes support for the Xbox Live Vision camera, allowing users to see each other while they play. Command & Conquer 3 will mark EA's second major real-time strategy effort for the console, having released Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth 2 for the Xbox 360 last year. - The latest updates on Gamasutra sister alt.gaming weblog GameSetWatch include an interview with Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada, a profile of ARG designer Jane McGonigal, and the endless possibilities of video game personality-themed board games. - Also updated today: the latest Gamasutra job postings, including openings from Big Huge Games, Blue Omega Entertainment, Destineer, Double Fine Productions, Heavy Iron Studios, iWin, Mind Control Software, Radical Entertainment, Rocksteady Studios, Shiny Entertainment, Stormfront Studios, Sucker Punch Productions, THQ, and TimeGate Studios.
