Nintendo of America Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing Cammie Dunaway will be leaving the company for a position outside the video game industry on October 1st, according to media reports.

Nintendo of America Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing Cammie Dunaway will be leaving the company for a position outside the video game industry on October 1st. "I'm thankful for my time with Nintendo and proud of our team's accomplishments in growing the Nintendo audience," Dunaway said in a statement. "I look forward to watching the continued growth of the Nintendo brand in the years ahead." "We appreciate Cammie's contributions to Nintendo and the role she played in bringing the Wii and Nintendo DS experiences to millions of people," Nintendo of America President and CEO Reggie Fils-Aime said. "Her team and the rest of Nintendo of America remain focused on our goal of maintaining the incredible momentum Nintendo enjoys heading into the busy holiday season." Dunaway has been one of Nintendo's primary public faces since joining the company in November of 2007, leading the marketing efforts for products including Wii Fit and the Nintendo DSi. Dunaway's new position and reasons for leaving Nintendo are not yet known.
